Ryzen Launch
An honest talk about the tech scene in India:
Pc tech is a niche market in India , that is because the costs of a high performance computer is quite a bit higher than USA and EU, the console gaming scene isn't huge either
Considering all this , AMD has once again lead the Cpu industry by launching their latest Ryzen processors worldwide , and the most surprising thing being the prices
We see a price parity with the US pricings of these CPUs which make them quite a bargin compared to the monopoly held by Intel till now
| AMD Ryzen 7 SKUs | |||||||
| Cores/ Threads | Base/ Turbo | XFR | L3 | TDP | Cost | Cooler | |
| Ryzen 7 180X | 8/16 | 3.6/4.0 | +100 | 16 MB | 95 W | $499/40,000₹ | - |

| Ryzen 5 1600X | 6/12 | 3.6/4.0 | +100 | 16 MB | 95 W | $249/19,000₹ | - |
| Ryzen 5 1600 | 6/12 | 3.2/3.6 | +100 | 16 MB | 65 W | $219/16,500₹ | Spire |
| Ryzen 5 1500X | 4/8 | 3.5/3.7 | +200 | 16 MB | 65 W | $189/15,000₹ | Spire |
| Ryzen 5 1400 | 4/8 | 3.2/3.4 | +50 | 8 MB | 65 W | $169/12,000₹ | Stealth |
Ryzen are AMD’s CPUs on 14nm, and using FinFETs and as a result aren't great overclockers , infact most ryzen cpus wont even climb above 4 ghz.
But then that's not a problem when you have a monstrously large 8 cores and 16 threads
Comparing this to an i7 which has only 4 cores and 8 threads.
Ryzen also comes with more cache 16 mb vs 8 mb on i7
Ryzen looks to a great processor for heavy users and gamers , but what about most people , what do they have to gain from this launch
In one word competition , Intel has been the go to cpu company for a while now, and this has a caused a feeling of complecancy in the company , the innovation of yester years seems to be missing.
I think the Ryzen cpus are a great buy for the money , and will definitely cause a shake up in the cpu market.
